The project is located in Katakolo Port, NW of the existing main quay. 3 mooring docks are to be constructed of dimensions 36.8×11.8 m, 61.8×11.8 m and 26.8×29.0 m respectively, supported on piles, for the mooring of larger cruise ships and cargo ships. In addition the harbour basin is to be deepened north of the quay down to elevation -10.0 m.

Drilling 3 off-shore exploratory boreholes and performance of 1 CPT and 3 DPSH tests, with the corresponding laboratory tests, preparation of a factual and interpretive report and foundation proposals. Participation in the foundation design of the docks on 1.10 m in diameter and 21-27 m long piles, cased with a sacrificial steel casing into the loose deposits (i.e. 18-24 m long).
