The project is located on the W-SW Coast of Revithoussa Island, on a sea embankment of maximum height of approximately 30 m from the sea bed. The project includes the extension of the existing sea embankment by 13 more meters towards the sea and the construction of a 400 MV capacity power plant on top.

The performed tasks included 2 off shore and 4 on shore rotary drilling and sampling boreholes accompanied by the corresponding laboratory tests, 6 trial plate load tests on the sea embankment, where the project is founded, 14 geo-electrical surveys, evaluation of the results, followed by suggestions on the available foundation options of the technical works with shallow and deep foundations (bored piles and barettes), and improvement/reinforcement of the embankment with dynamic compaction or jet grouting.
