Egnatia Odos Highway starts from Igoumenitsa Port and with a general direction WSW – ENE, crosses Epirus, Macedonia and Thrace to end to the border station of Kipoi, to Turkey. The planned works included the construction of embankments, trenches, viaducts and tunnels.

The performed tasks included 70 rotary drilling and sampling boreholes summing up to approximately 1.497 m and 50 trial pits, accompanied by the corresponding laboratory tests and presentation of the results in the following locations:
