The project is located at the north part of the commercial harbor of Lavrio. Two berthing finger piers were constructed consisting of nine mooring dolphins. Each mooring dolphin is supported by 9 Ø1.07 m piles made of cast in-situ reinforced concrete, reinforced on their upper part with a permanent steel casing. The piles were constructed by driving steel tube piles in the ground down to the design depth and then excavating within them down to the required depth.

Drilling 11 off-shore exploratory boreholes and evaluation of results. Design and execution of two off-shore lateral pile load tests with a maximum load of 550 kΝ, with inclination readings of lateral movements and torsion with respect to the vertical axis of the piles. Evaluation of the pile load tests, review of the original pile in the light of the pile load test results and preparation of a complementary pile design.
