The project is located at the north part of the commercial port of Lavrio. A 2-storey Passenger Terminal building of a total area of 2,700 m2 is going to be constructed. The ground floor will be used for arriving as well as departing passengers, whereas the 1st floor will be used for the departure of passengers via elevated closed corridors. The building will be made of reinforced concrete with a steel roof and it will be supported by large diameter (Æ800 mm) bored piles bearing into the bedrock.

Drilling of 3 exploratory boreholes of a total depth of 81 m and compilation of a factual and interpretive report. Design and performance of two pile load tests on sacrificial piles, with a maximum vertical load of 3,429 kΝ. Presentation and interpretation of the results of the pile load tests and review of the pile design.
